An Indonesian COVID-19 conspiracy theorist attacked a judge in court after he was handed a sentence for his antics, as seen in a video that has circulated widely on social media.

Yunus Wahyudi, a self-proclaimed "anti-mask activist," was found guilty of violating Indonesia's Health Quarantine Law and the Information and Electronic Transactions Act (UU ITE). The district court in Banyuwangi, East Java sentenced Yunus to three years in prison.

It was at the sentencing hearing that, immediately after his sentence was read out, a livid Yunus leapt out of his chair and jumped on presiding judge Khamozaru Waruwu, landing at least a punch and a kick.

"Wooooo!" Yunus can be heard screaming as he assaulted the judge. Police officers at the court immediately jumped in to separate them.

According to reports, Yunus screamed "Let me go, Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)," as he was escorted by the police to leave the courtroom.

It is unclear at this point whether Yunus had planned the attack or acted on impulse. In addition, he reportedly wasn't wearing a mask during the hearing.

Policemen arrested him soon after the attack, and escorted him out of the court. Khamozaru reportedly did not suffer any injuries, but was just shocked by the sudden assault.

Yunus was previously arrested for a video in which he declared that COVID-19 was not real and accused the disease of being fabricated by the government. He was also involved in the bodysnatching of a deceased coronavirus patient from a hospital.
