Antara, Jakarta – The Indonesian Covid-19 Task Force noted that at least 264 "mudik" travelers tested positive for the coronavirus disease. The figure was taken from the implementation of the "ketupat" operation on May 15.

The Covid-19 Task Force, spokesman Wiku Adisasmito, said that in total there were 419,969 vehicles ordered to turn around.

"We held 77,068 tests, and found 264 positive for Covid-19," he said at a press conference held in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

He said the 264 people who tested positive accounted for 0.34 percent of Eid travelers.

He said the Covid-19 Task Force continues to coordinate with regional branches in its battle to curb Covid spread. "The government continues to update field data and will report it to the public," he said.
