Bisnis.Com, Jakarta – The Indonesian Private Hospital Association (ARSSI) Secretary-General Ichsan Hanafi said 700 private hospitals handling Covid-19 cases have not yet received incentives for health workers.
"At present, the number of private hospitals under ARSSI and experiencing incentive delays is around 700 hospitals. We must admit that there is indeed a delay in providing incentives for healthcare workers," Ichsan told Bisnis.com on Monday, March 8, 2021.
He explained that the association had asked the Health Ministry for confirmation and was informed that the government's incentives for medical workers in 2020 have not been disbursed yet.
The incentives for health professionals at the frontline against the pandemic have not been disbursed from November 2020 to January 2021. In fact, a number of private hospitals have not thus far received the funds since before November 2020.
According to him, the fund disbursement depended on the discipline of hospitals in submitting claims. The government has started processing the Covid-19 claims by healthcare workers gradually in the last 3 days.
The government estimated the disbursement of incentives to kick off in March 2021. Ichsan hoped that the next claims and incentives could be handed on time as they are highly helpful for the hospital's cash flow and as a motivation for health workers.
