Taufiq Siddiq, Jakarta – Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan announced that the number of community units that were categorized as COVID-19 red zones have dropped since the transitional large-scale social restriction (PSBB) was imposed.

However, Anies said the community units will continue to be strictly monitored to further suppress the spread of coronavirus.

"There are still spots that need further handling and community units that need closer monitoring," said the governor at the city hall on Wednesday, June 24.

According to him, there are still 20 community units categorized as red zones, which is a drastic drop from 66 community units earlier this month. He credited the city's attempt to launch active case findings in order to further break the chain of COVID-19 infection.
